Stéphanie was 49, an administrative officer at the Rambouillet police station, where she had worked for 28 years, and the mother of two daughters. She was posthumously awarded the Legion of Honour.
What happened
On 23 April 2021, Stéphanie was stabbed in the entrance of the Rambouillet police station as she returned from a break. The attacker was shot dead by police at the scene, so there was no trial. France's anti-terrorism prosecutor took over the case.
