What happened
On Friday 25 June 2021, Stefanie was stabbed in Würzburg city centre during a knife attack that began in a Woolworth store at Barbarossaplatz. Three women were killed and several people were injured. The court found the attacker not criminally responsible because of paranoid schizophrenia and ordered indefinite placement in a psychiatric hospital (26 July 2022).
