What happened
On 12 April 2018, Sandra and her 21-month-old daughter Mariam were stabbed to death on a platform of the Jungfernstieg S-Bahn station in Hamburg by Mariam's father, Sandra's former partner. In February 2019 the Hamburg Regional Court sentenced him to life imprisonment with particular gravity of guilt; the verdict became final in 2020.
