What happened
On 28 July 2017, a man stabbed customers at random in an Edeka supermarket in Hamburg-Barmbek. Mathias died at the scene and six other people were injured, some critically. On 1 March 2018 the Hanseatic Higher Regional Court sentenced the attacker to life imprisonment and found particular gravity of guilt.
