Kåre Arvid Hesvik
Died 25 June 2022
Who they were
Kåre lived in Bærum. He started out in the 1980s as a nursing assistant at Oslo University Hospital, retrained as a social educator and became a department head. His sister called him "a rare treasure" – always kind and caring, someone who listened, could not stand injustice and had a unique laugh. He was looking forward to retirement. His family wrote on his memorial page: "To love is a human right".
What happened
In the early hours of 25 June 2022, during Oslo Pride, Kåre was sitting with friends at the Per på hjørnet bar when a man opened fire on it and on the London pub.
