What happened
On 19 July 2014 Kamilla was strangled in Padborg by her former partner after they had broken up. Her body was found 11 days later by the motorway exit at Kliplev. Vestre Landsret in Sønderborg upheld the district court’s sentence of 12 years’ imprisonment for manslaughter and permanent expulsion. The perpetrator was born in Afghanistan and came to Denmark with his family at the age of nine.
