Emil was 28 and came from Skellefteå. He was at IKEA in Västerås with his mother Carola, who was also killed.
What happened
On 10 August 2015, Carola and her son Emil were stabbed to death at the IKEA store in Västerås. Police found no connection between the attacker and the victims. Hours earlier the attacker had been told that his asylum case was rejected and that he would be sent back to Italy. Västmanland District Court sentenced him to life imprisonment and expulsion; the Svea Court of Appeal upheld the verdict.
