David was 32 and worked for the Red Cross as a caseworker at the asylum accommodation where the attacker lived.
What happened
On 14 October 2019, David was stabbed to death after a dispute over working hours with an Afghan resident. The attacker then killed the farmer Franz Greul to steal his car. The Linz regional court sentenced him to life imprisonment for two murders and aggravated robbery, and the Linz Higher Regional Court upheld the sentence in January 2021.
