Who they were
Arve was a bus driver and father of three. He drove for Nettbuss in Drammen for about ten years before moving to Valdres to join Jotunheimen og Valdresruten Bilselskap. Colleagues described him as a joy-spreader and revue performer who was "incredibly good at impersonating people", and who never spoke ill of anyone – colleagues or passengers.
What happened
On Monday 4 November 2013, Arve was killed while driving the Valdresekspressen near Årdal, in the same attack that took the lives of a 19-year-old student and Brahim Khouya. At his funeral, scheduled buses across Norway stopped for a minute's silence. The indicted man died in custody in 2014 before trial.

Perpetrator: An asylum seeker from South Sudan, aged 30/31, with a final rejection, due to be deported (Aftenposten). Indicted for premeditated triple murder and declared legally sane, but died in custody in Sept 2014 before trial – no verdict.
