Ann-Marie was 17 and came from Neumünster. She was travelling home with her boyfriend Danny.
What happened
On 25 January 2023, Ann-Marie and her boyfriend Danny Preuß were stabbed to death on a regional train from Kiel to Hamburg as it pulled into Brokstedt station. Several other passengers were seriously injured. The attacker had been released from pre-trial detention six days earlier. The Itzehoe regional court sentenced him to life imprisonment with a finding of particular gravity of guilt; the verdict became final in January 2025.

Perpetrator: A 33-year-old stateless Palestinian who had been released from pre-trial detention in Hamburg six days before the attack (BGH, NDR).
