A missile strike on King Khalid International Airport in Riyadh on Saturday killed 12 people from several countries and wounded 309, Saudi Arabia’s civil aviation authority said. An Indian national died of his wounds on Sunday, bringing the toll to 13. Yemen’s Iran-allied Houthis claimed the attack.

On Sunday a new strike hit a passenger hall, killing a Pakistani resident and wounding 11. On Monday Saudi Arabia reported a fresh barrage of missiles and drones, and the airport stayed closed.

A widening war

The Houthis have hit Saudi airports and oil facilities for a week, a spillover from the US–Iran conflict. President Trump said on Saturday the US was considering joining Saudi strikes on the Houthis.
