They Named Her. Rebecca Bullock Died at Rosenheim Station
The British woman stabbed to death at a railway station in Germany on Sunday has been named as Rebecca Bullock.
@BasilTheGreat posted the name on 2 September. He adds that the suspect is a German citizen “from a migrant background (as reported by locals online)” and is in custody. Bavarian police, in the BBC and Independent accounts, describe a 27-year-old German man of no fixed address, arrested at the scene, now detained in a psychiatric hospital on suspicion of murder. I do not promote “migrant background” from online locals into the police file.
She was attacked at Rosenheim station in Upper Bavaria shortly before 01:00 local time on Sunday 30 August. She was 31. She died in hospital of severe injuries. Police have asked for witnesses to an argument or altercation. Motive is under investigation. The Foreign Office said it was supporting the family. Thames Valley Police said next of kin had been informed.
British papers name her as manager of the White Swan in Whitchurch, Buckinghamshire, on her way to a funeral in Austria. The pub closed for two days. Rosenheim’s mayor, Abuzar Erdogan, said there were no indications of a wider security threat or a link to the Herbstfest.
