A Fire at a Polish Drone Plant. Prosecutors Opened a Terrorism File
A fire at a drone manufacturer’s plant in Poland is being investigated under articles on terrorism and working for a foreign intelligence service.
That is the report posted on 2 September by @visegrad24. The blaze broke out on the night of 30–31 August at the WB Electronics plant in Skarżysko-Kamienna after the fire alarm and intrusion sensors went off. Flames engulfed production and warehouse premises. Surveillance cameras, the post says, recorded an unknown person in a balaclava who climbed over the fence.
Polish prosecutors have put language on the file. Notes from Poland quotes the National Prosecutor’s Office: the offence consisted of intentionally starting a fire on the premises of WB Electronics in Skarżysko-Kamienna on 31 August 2026 by planting a charge containing flammable materials. Warehouse facilities were destroyed. The damage is at least 15 million zloty. The X post gives the figure as at least €3.5 million. No charges have been brought. The articles, both the post and the prosecutor’s spokesman, provide for punishment of up to life imprisonment.
Jacek Dobrzyński, spokesman for the security services, wrote that a prosecutor from the Małopolska field division of the National Prosecutor’s Office in Kraków had opened the investigation:

Kielce provincial police, Notes from Poland reports, confirmed that a burglar alarm had been triggered around midnight. When emergency services arrived, there was a fire. The Internal Security Agency (ABW) is conducting the investigation with prosecutors. Interior ministry reporting, carried by Wirtualna Polska, said the plant’s cameras had recorded a person who got onto the site, and that the perpetrator was masked.
The company produces components and control systems for FlyEye and Warmate drones, supplied to the Polish army and used by the Ukrainian armed forces — that is the X post. WB Electronics told the Polish Press Agency that procedures and systems had worked, that the fire was quickly extinguished, and that operations would resume after formalities. Local firefighters, Euronews notes, said the fire was not large and took just under two hours.
A drone plant. A balaclava at the fence. A prosecutor who did not wait to call it a terrorist offence in the interest of a foreign service — and who has not yet named a defendant. The file is open. The name on the charge sheet is not.
